Welcome to the Cannon Beach Historical Society, where history comes alive! The Society was organized for the purpose of preserving the history of Cannon Beach by seeking, collecting, and protecting historical memorabilia of all kinds, by recording oral histories, and by making these materials available to the public whenever possible.

The History Center building is the heart of the Historical Society, housing the Society's collections, exhibits, and gift shop. As you enter the south main entrance to the Cannon Beach History Center you will see the Original Cannon from which Cannon Beach derives its name.
